Time To Drive

My 15 year old daughter got her permit Friday! Wow! Crazy how fast they grow up. Her older sister Brionna is 16 and hasn't got her permit yet... but now bound and determined to be right up there with her sister. She has to get her permit now. She can't let Lacey have get her Drivers license before her! How funny her little sister finally sparked that flame I knew she had. So needless to say that I haven't sat in my drivers seat all weekend! Althought it is pretty scarey for your teen to be behind the wheel; I actually enjoy it!

Nesting while Husband is away on a Forest Fire

First we started with the pantry Revamp! It was a major process, I couldn't walk; seriously, by the end of the day. I had my to teen age girls helping me...Which i couldn't have done it without them. Being pregnant made these projects really hard for me. We taped and painted it purple. After the scrubbing was done, of course.
Last year when Rich was gone I redid my dining room table. That was a HUGE pain in the butt to do by myself. I will never do it again unless I have some muscles there to help me.

Then the reorganization happened! I have wanted to do this since we built the house! Yeah Finally DONE! Oh and cute little baskets from the dollar tree.

I bought Vinyl letter paper from walmart and cut it out with designed sizzor cutters then used a paint pen to write on the glass jars... Looks really great and organized

The Kitchen's color started as green, but after I was done painting we didn't really like it... It just didn't pop out enough color for us. So off to Fred's we went to look for a new more viberant color that would carry into the living room too.
So we chose Crimson Sky. It went on sooooo Pink when it was first applied we were a bit scared but it dried so beautifully! Finaly we can sit down and watch our movies.

Re-did my off white Bonjour sign I got from Good will for $4!

It just turned out beautiful! Time to put up my swollen feet... Oh did I mention the 3 mile walk that day too! and all the house cleaning we did! LONG DAY!

Oak Flat Forest Fire

Northwest Large Fire Information

NEAR GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- The Oak Flat Fire has burned 1,706 acres in a remote part of the Rogue-River Siskiyou National Forest in Josephine County at last report Friday, and is expected to continue growing. It is only 18 percent contained. Approximately 1,110 firefighters are on the scene, with eight helicopters dropping water on the flames. The fire, which began Friday, August 13, is burning about 20 miles west of Grants Pass on the eastern edge of the giant 2002 Biscuit fire. Ground crews are working at removing leaf litter and brush along containment lines. If the fire burns to the edge of the Biscuit Fire, officials say it could grow anywhere from to 6,000 to 8,000 acres. Officials say rugged terrain and heavy timber has made fighting the fire difficult. Steep ridges are preventing bulldozers and other ground vehicles from entering the area. Officials say the fire was not negatively impacted by thunderstorms that hit much of Southern Oregon Tuesday night because the winds in the fire area were calm. Currently a mining cabin deep in the forest is the only structure under threat. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
My husband is so brave to be on this fire... I know I could never do the work he does in the summers to help stop these beasts of flames...
I do miss him!

30 Weeks

It is hard to imagine that I am already 30 weeks! WOW! I never thought in the begining that I would actually become a 30 week pregnant person! It always just seemed so far away!
Now I am and that means that I have less than 10 weeks left. Tomorrow I turn 31 weeks which means it will be my first week of being 8 months! HOLY COW That sounds NUTS!
8 Months and Tired on my feet!
My little man likes to hang out in my right rib cage all the time so I can hardly bend over. Must be warm up there...But hey...didn't some important man once say we were created by mans rib... Maybe that is why he liked it.
Here is a short story that I really love and wish to share it with you.
It’s amazing how God made man, and so beautiful how he made woman! Why did God create Woman from Man’s rib, when He could have simply created her from dust, as He did Man? This is a story that puts a beautiful touch on the reasoning:
“When I created the heavens and the earth, I spoke them into being. When I created man, I formed him from the dust of the Earth and breathed life into his nostrils. But you, woman, I fashioned after I breathed the breath of life into man because your nostrils are too delicate. I allowed a deep sleep to come over him so I could patiently and perfectly fashion you. Man was put to sleep so that he could not interfere with the creativity. From one bone I fashioned you. I chose the bone that protects man’s life. I chose the rib, which protects his heart and lungs and supports him, as you are meant to do.”“
Around this one bone I shaped you. I modeled you. I created you perfectly and beautifully. Your characteristics are as the rib, strong yet delicate and fragile. You provide protection for the most delicate organ in man, his heart. His heart is the center of his being; his lungs hold the breath of life. The rib cage will allow itself to be broken before it will allow damage to the heart. Support man as the rib cage supports the body.”“
You were not taken from his feet, to be under him, nor were you taken from his head, to be above him. You were taken from his side, to stand beside him and be held close to his side. You are my perfect angel. You are my beautiful little girl. You have grown to be a splendid woman of excellence, and my eyes fill when I see the virtue in your heart. Your eyes: don’t change them. Your lips: how lovely when they part in prayer. Your nose so perfect in form, your hands so gentle to touch. I’ve caressed your face in your deepest sleep; I’ve held your heart close to mine. Of all that lives and breathes, you are the most like me.”“
Adam walked with me in the cool of the day and yet he was lonely. He could not see me or touch me. He could only feel me. So everything I wanted Adam to share and experience with me, I fashioned in you: my holiness, my strength, my purity, my love, my protection and support. You are special because you are the extension of me.”“
Man represents my image, woman - my emotions. Together, you represent the totality of God. So man, treat woman well. Love her, respect her, for she is fragile. In hurting her, you hurt me. What you do to her, you do to me. In crushing her, you only damage your own heart, the heart of your Father and the heart of her Father. Woman, support man. In humility, show him the power of emotion I have given you. In gentle quietness show your strength. In love, show him that you are the rib that protects his inner self.”
Now isn't that just beautiful!

Growing Belly

My belly is grown and so is this little boy inside me. The feelings are totally different now. I am actually feeling body parts. It seems to be slippery in there cause when I touch him when he pushes out it just slides into a new spot. I can tell when it is a smaller part of his body or more of his head or butt. When the smaller parts poke out it is more of a pinching sensation and when it is his bigger parts it feels like a he is going to poke through and say HELLO!!! I am starting to get uncomfortable... I have said that the whole time but now it is true. Alot of times I feel like I can't breath or I just want some one to push my ribs back together where they were when I started this new adventure. I haven't had any unusual cravings yet. I really just like the taste of FRUIT! yumm! The juicier the better. We have a name picked out but we are just not ready to release it yet. I just want to yell it out so bad! I can't wait to see him. I need a camo onesee... that would just be the cutest thing ever... Tomorrow I turn 30 weeks; this freaks me out cause it means I have only 10 weeks left if I go a full 40 weeks. Pretty soon you will see the new born baby boy!

Boy Found! Today!

Isaak Benjamin Glenn, the 5-year-old boy missing since late Wednesday at a state park north of Florence, was found safe this afternoon and returned to his parents, Oregon State Police reported.

Two men driving on a dirt road near Big Creek north of the campground spotted Isaak about 1:10 p.m. and brought him back to Carl G. Washburne Memorial State Park, where his parents had been frantically waiting since late Wednesday.

Medics were en route to the campground about 1:30 p.m., but other than some "obvious scratches," Isaak, of Veneta, appears to be none the worse for his night-long ordeal, said Lt. Gregg Hastings, a state police spokesman.Isaak arrived at the park for a camping trip with family friends on Wednesday. He was last seen playing with a group of children near the group's campsite, Hastings sad.

One of the children noticed Isaak had disappeared about 5 p.m. Joined by other campers, the family friends searched the area for about 30 minutes before calling 9-1-1.

Kristopher and Rebecca Glenn were soon alerted to their son's disappearance and drove to the state park to help. A search of the coastal park featuring more than 30 troopers, deputies and firefighters from Oregon State Police, the Lane County Sheriff's Office and the Siuslaw Fire Department stretched through the night.

Police said early this morning that they did not suspect foul play, that Isaak has no known disabilities or medical issues, and appears to have just wandered off. The two men brought Isaak back to the campground where he was reunited with his parents, drank some water and ate a sandwich.

Approximately 30 police officers, fire personnel, state parks employees and citizens continue searching for a 5-year old boy last seen late Wednesday afternoon playing with other kids at Carl G. Washburne Memorial State Park north of Florence. Lane County Sheriff's Office Search & Rescue personnel arrived late Wednesday night and have taken over coordination of the search effort.

According to Oregon State Police Sergeant Andy Kenyon, on August 4, 2010 at approximately 5:00 p.m. ISAAK BENJAMIN GLENN, age 5, from Veneta, had arrived at the state park with family friends earlier in the day and was reportedly playing with several other children near their campsite when one of the children noticed he was not around.

Family friends assisted by several other campers and the park camp hosts immediately started searching around the park but were unable to find the boy. Oregon State Police was notified about 30 minutes later and four troopers responded. Siuslaw Fire Department personnel also responded to help coordinate the search efforts now being led by Lane County Sheriff's Office Search & Rescue.
