HONEY DO LIST

Husbands Nursery Project...

The beginning...

Step1#: Draw Tree... He is drawing this free hand. I love how artistic my Alpha Male Husband is... He sure is amazing.

Assessing the situation with his little helper Sammie...

Sammie likes to be involved in household chores...

Adding the Blue (Nursery Blanket Blue) around the tree that he just has drawn on the wall...

Can you tell it is a tree yet?

Husband: HONEY where is my hat!

Day #2

Painting in the fine print... This was the hard part. He wasn't too happy with this part.

Cutting into the edges... FREE HAND

THE TREE!!!! ?Can you tell? It looks so whimsical... I just love it. Rich isn't too sure about it himself, he is such the perfectionist and he isn't liking the imperfections in the lines.

Here comes the leaves! These he didn't draw first just started painting. Wow, you should have seen the tree I tried to draw at work... It looked like a triangle. UGLY! haha! Thank goodness we have some talent in this family.

All the leaves are added now!

Oh!!! That isn't good enough... Time to get more artistic and start making color layers for the 3D effect.

While he is doing what he does best up in the nursery, I on the other hand had to go to the laundry mat to wash our bedding... When I returned to the house I walked upstairs and saw a totally new tree...
I have always wanted the man of my dreams carve my initials in a tree... This has been a child hood dream of mine. As walked up the stairs, I see that my beloved husband has fulfilled that dream of mine... in the most magical way that I could ever imagined. He carved our initials with love in our new little bundle of joy's nursery room tree... This tree will forever be painted on this wall... Even when it is turned back into the office after the baby gets his new big boy room. I am so blessed...

The tree is finished... Or so I thought.

I had said we should add leaves blowing in the wind across the other wall... He just laughed at me when I walked upstairs later this is what I saw... The start to leaves blowing in the wind...

Once again getting the 3D effect...

He didn't like the blue tree limbs on the brown wall so he had to fix them and here is what we think for now is the finished painting project... of course that deer head on the wall will be getting taken DOWN... :)

Crib added to the corner... Some other furnature is still to come... They will be getting done later this week in another blog posting... A mommy to do list... Till next time... Keep those Honey Do's going...

It looks so beautiful! I love it! Are you going with a different theme than what you were first going to do with the brown and blue?

Yes I sent that original stuff back... I wanted to get it all painted and stuff first. It will kinda be themeless that way most everything will go... It is still browns blues and greens just not the teal colors... :) YEAH!
